Urban Design Strategies for Clay Center
On October 13, 2016, twenty K-State Urban Design students were invited to Clay Center to tour the town and come up with some recommendations on how to enhance the Clay Center downtown area through strengthening visual identity, improving pedestrian safety and experience, establishing wayfinding systems, and developing new activities and amenities for residents and visitors. On November 17th, the students returned to Clay Center and presented their ideas to local business owners and the public during Third Thursday activities at the Common Ground building.
