USD 379, with locations in Clay Center and Wakefield, works diligently to ensure the best education system for their students including a virtual school for K-12, Project LEAD before- and after-school program, summer program for K-5th grade and one-to-one IPads at the high schools. USD 379 is the host district for special education cooperative (TLEC), has an 11 to 1 student to teacher ratio, and provides more than 50 extra-curricular activities and clubs for the students.  And with our close proximity to Fort Riley, 24% of the students are from active military families.  USD 379 has a strong history of academic success blended with 1st class vocational and fine art opportunities.


USD 224, Clifton-Clyde High School, created in 1981 when the high schools in Clifton and Clyde merged, is a 2A high school with 80 students in grades 9-12. CCHS offers football, volleyball, cross-country, basketball, and track. Activities offered at CCHS include FBLA, FFA, NHS, student council, scholars' bowl, forensics, yearbook, and cheerleading.


Flint Hills Christian School at Green opened its doors September 6, 2005 as an extension of the Christian home.  Their mission is to educate in truth, train in righteousness, and fully develop each child in body, mind, and spirit.  Students learn in a multi-grade level classroom environment.  Their educational goals include:  To give God the glory in all things, to help students realize their spiritual gifts, and to apply their gifts toward growth and service in the world.  Additionally, they equip students with the ability to communicate clearly, logically, and effectively through reading, writing, speaking, and listening.  Each student learns the fundamentals of language, art, math, social studies, science, and Bible.  Classes are established based on enrollment.  FHCS educates students Kindergarten through 12th grade.  Classes are a four day session--Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 4:00 p.m.  If you are interested in knowing more about their school you can contact them at 785-944-3324 or email:
