CCEDG Mentorship Group
The Clay County Economic Development Group has a volunteer mentorship group made up of experienced business people with different backgrounds to provide confidential support.  To learn more about this program or to set up your mentorship group contact the CCEDG.

Small Business Development Center
The SBDC provides one-on-one counseling to new and existing businesses at no charge and conducts seminars and workshops throughout the year including business plan development, marketing, finance, accounting, taxation, and many industry specific issues.  They will assist with registering your business name, registering for state and local taxes, obtaining tax identification number and business licenses and permits, and many other business related needs.  Access checklists for how to start a business, feasibility, hiring employees, and marketing as well as a business plan template.

Network Kansas
Network Kansas provides resources and referrals for starting or growing your business.

SCORE provides online workshops, templates and tools, and mentoring either in person or via email.

The Kansas Business Center
The official state resource for information, filings, and personal assistance to start or maintain your Kansas business.

Kansas Secretary of State’s Business Services Filing Center
Customers are able to file documents and search records twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for such things as business name availability, file Annual Reports, obtain a Certificate of good Standing, or conduct a trademark or service-mark search.  On-line filing and record search.
