Lori Huber, Executive Director
Lori has been involved in Economic and Community Development since 1998 as Chamber of Commerce Director, Travel and Tourism Coordinator, Associate Main Street Member, and Economic Development Assistant and Director. She helped establish the Crossroads RC&D, the Washington County Community Foundation, and the Kansas Association of Community Foundations. She also helped develop a Hometown Competitiveness program which focuses on growing rural areas by focusing on four pillars: philanthropy, leadership, entrepreneurship, and youth. Prior to this Lori worked in retail, construction, ag, manufacturing, and government. Lori received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kansas State University.
Bob Melius, Administrative Assistant
Bob Melius is our newest addition to the CCEDG working as the Administrative Assistant. Bob is a U.S. Army veteran, where he served as a Chaplain Assistant for 20 years and had two deployments; Bosnia in 1998 and Iraq in 2003. After separating from the service in 2004, Bob began pursuing his education to become a pastor while working on Fort Riley as a Material Handler, Family Readiness Support Assistant, and most recently as a Technical Lead for Florence Manufacturing in Manhattan, Kansas. In 2010, Bob and his wife, Tracy were accepted to be Church Planters for the North American Baptist Conference and in January 2011 they started the Wakefield Baptist Fellowship in Wakefield, Kansas where Bob serves as the pastor and leads a vibrant Christian youth program. In addition to having over 20 years of experience in office management, customer service, and training, Bob has studied Business Management and Ethics at Manhattan Christian College.
